STEMM Girls Program: Intel Trip to Beijing

On March 28th, WE Women's Development Association organized a visit to Intel's Beijing office for 24 high school girls from CIS (Canadian International School of Beijing), Keystone (Dingstone School of Beijing) and DCB (Dewey British International School of Beijing).

This is the first STEMM (GIS) Girls Collaboration Program between WEC and Intel, and it was a great opportunity for aspiring young girls to learn about high tech, the role women play in high tech companies like Intel, and to realize the importance of getting more women into the industry.

Some of the top leaders of the Intel Beijing team gave presentations, including Tony Jiang, Intel's Vice President of China Government Affairs, and Yali Liang, Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Communications.

Tony Jiang introduced Intel's culture and explained how women play a vital role in high-tech companies. Intel also has many female leaders such as April Miller Boise, Michelle Johnston Holthaus, Sandra Rivera, Ann Kelleher and Wang Rui (Senior Vice President and Chairman of Intel China) who are role models for girls, proving that women can be successful in the tech industry, and contribute to the growth and development of the company. and contribute to the growth and development of the company.

Yali shared her story of how she started out as a mechanical engineering major and then began her career in the tech industry. Through her inspiring story, she encourages girls to follow their passions, try different fields and paths, and not be afraid to join the tech industry.
