Co-organized a round table on inclusive leadership

On March 15, WE Women's Development and the Embassy of Finland in China co-organized a high-level leadership roundtable at the China World Hotel in Beijing, which was sponsored by the Grand Hotel Beijing. Celebrating the annual March of Dimes Women's Month and the importance of inclusivity, the theme of the conference was "Inclusive Leadership for All" and featured a panel of prominent international women leaders, including Ambassador Leena-Kaisa Mikkola of Finland, Ambassador Oliver Wonekha of Uganda, and Ambassador Analisa of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. Ambassador of Finland to China Leena-Kaisa Mikkola, Ambassador of Uganda to China Oliver Wonekha and Ambassador of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago Analisa Low. In addition, women leaders from different fields, such as Yabo Chemical, Beijing Global Talent Group, BP China, Caixin Media Group, ConocoPhillips, Embassy of Finland, FedEx, Finnish Chamber of Commerce, Knorr-Bremse, Nokia, Maria Gucci, Microsoft, Haitian Ruixing, Today's Museum of Art, UPM, and others, met for a clash of ideas and mutual discussions.
Co-facilitated by Su Cheng Harris-Simpson, Founder and President of WE Women's Development Association, and Poh-Yian Koh, Vice President of China Operations at FedEx Express and Co-Chair of WE Women's Development Association, the women delegates at the roundtable discussed the characteristics of a truly inclusive leader, based on the following criteria from the DEI Pioneer Study, a report launched by WE Women's Development Association in 2022 The roundtable discussed insights and ideas on how to develop inclusive leaders in any work environment, based on a framework of six outstanding characteristics of a truly inclusive leader - self-awareness, authenticity, empathy, transparency, accountability and passion - as mentioned in a DEI Pioneer Study launched by WE Women Development in 2022.
